Changes to U.S. Shipping & Customs (Effective Aug 29)

To our valued customers in the United States

Starting August 29, 2025, the U.S. government will end the de minimis exemption for imports. This means that all shipments to the United States, regardless of order value, may be subject to duties and taxes.

In response to this change, Miss Matatabi is now shipping all U.S. orders under a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) system. This means you will not need to pay any additional duties or taxes upon delivery.

At this time, we are not adding duties to your order at checkout. Prices remain the same as before, and we will continue to keep you informed as the situation evolves.

To help offset some of the increased costs, we will unfortunately need to temporarily suspend our free shipping offer for U.S. orders over USD $120. Starting August 29, a flat shipping fee of USD $19 will apply to all U.S. orders over USD $120. This is a provisional measure in response to the recent customs regulation changes and may be adjusted as we learn more.

We are currently working to improve our website to better reflect these changes and provide a smoother, more accurate experience at checkout. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition period.

For our Etsy shop, a different adjustment will be made to account for the platform’s existing shipping settings.
