Traditional Japanese Craft with a Modern Spirit

Chusen is a traditional Japanese dyeing technique that has been cherished for over a century.
Originally developed for dyeing yukata (summer kimono) and tenugui (hand towels), chusen allows dye to soak into the fabric from both sides, creating beautiful, soft gradations and vivid colors that remain rich even after many washes.

Each piece is hand-dyed by skilled artisans using a special pouring method, where the fabric is folded and layers of dye are carefully poured through stencils.
No two pieces are exactly alike—every pattern holds the unique touch of the maker.

We’re proud to share these beautiful textiles that reflect the care, creativity, and heritage of Japanese craftsmanship.
